Title: Baby Hats

Ticoran Princess - February 5, 2006 07:41 PM (GMT)
These are some baby hats I made for OST Healthy Start on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. Most of them were made on my baby-sized Knifty Knitter loom. The one in the very front on the right was knit on needles, and the purple one near it is crocheted. I came across a few more after I took this pic. Altogether, there were 29 if memory serves.

Thank you! I love the way the loom-knitted ones turned out, they're just so soft and worked up so quickly. I'm sure the new mommies and daddies will appreciate your hats and booties. I know I would.

I have a knifty knitter for large hats, what size do you need for baby ones? Also do you have to use double strands???
Beautiful work I am sure those who will recieve them will be very blest! :D

The baby knifty knitter is the small blue one. Using a thick yarn like Homespun or Light & Lofty, I usually wrap the yarn three times, then lift the bottom two over the first one. Thank you for the compliment!

P.S.
If you're interested in getting more Knifty Knitters, I think you can get the entire set of four round ones for about $10 now. I paid $25 for mine! :o
